Purchase a Permit

Permits are sold through our online permitting website. Please create an account or sign in if you’re a returning customer, and select the events for which you would like to buy a permit.

Do I need a charter bus permit to park in downtown Minneapolis?

The answer is, yes. If you are transporting people to downtown Minneapolis (Target CenterTarget FieldUS Bank StadiumOrchestra HallOrpheum TheatreState TheatreGuthrie Theatre, etc…) and need to park your charter bus, you must buy a parking permit ahead of arriving to your destination. This applies to all charter bus companies.

This rule also applies to any group that needs to park a large vehicle on the downtown streets of Minneapolis like a band playing a concert at a venue.

Overnight Parking

Overnight parking is available in Zone 6

(950 Hawthorne Ave. Minneapolis, MN 55403)

Select Zone 6 for overnight parking after navigating to the online permitting website, in order to buy an overnight permit.

Redemption Instructions

  • Please print it out and display it in the front window when parked

  • Must park between the zone traffic signs

  • Enforcement will be verifying all buses have valid reservations

  • No overnight parking for event reservations

  • No RV/Motor Home Parking

  • No Tailgating
