Can I setup auto-pay for my monthly parking?

Yes, the option is available once you are logged in to your account.

How do I Register an Account in the MPLS Parking App?

Online accounts are currently managed by Flowbird®. Click here to Register for a new account or manage an existing account.

Can I stop a parking session before it ends?

You cannot stop your parking session once it has been started. Refunds are not available once a parking session has started.

How do I change or stop the text and/or email alerts I receive?

Online accounts are currently managed by Flowbird®. To adjust your alert settings, you can log in to your account at Personal Pages with your username and password. Click Alerts & Messages on the left navigation menu to view your alert options, and make selections using the drop-down menus. Hover over the info button for specific information regarding each parking alert. Be sure to read the Terms and Conditions regarding parking alerts.

If you are using the MPLS Parking App for iPhone, you can receive parking alerts via push notification. You can turn alerts on through your iPhone Settings app.

How can I avoid getting a parking citation?

Adhere to all on-street parking regulations. Start your parking transaction before you leave your car and ensure that you receive confirmation of your parking transaction.

Can I pay for my monthly parking online?

What information is available to view online about my account?

You can pay your account balance via credit card, update your contact and vehicle information, view your billing information, and view your previous financial information, including invoices and payment receipts.

Can I use my monthly parking contract card when I ride my motorcycle?

Yes. You can park in the ramp using your monthly contract card when you ride your motorcycle. If you would like to park in the designated street-level motorcycle parking area, you must take a pay envelope, write your monthly card number on it, and drop it in the pay box.

Who do I talk to if I have a comment or complaint about a facility?

You may send an email message or call our main office at 612-343-7275. We will address and follow up on every comment or complaint we receive; we value your input, and our goal is for you to experience the smoothest, friendliest parking service possible.

I don't see any parking attendants at the exits. How do I pay?

In our automated parking facilities, the easiest way to pay is by using your credit card at the exit. First, insert your entry ticket into the machine. A price will be displayed on the screen. Insert your credit card and the payment will be processed. Don’t forget to press the receipt button if you’d like a receipt.

If you would prefer to pay in cash, we have pay-on-foot pay stations in the lobby and skyway locations. When you are ready to leave the ramp, walk up to one of the pay stations and insert your ticket. A price will be displayed on the screen. Insert your cash. If you’d like a receipt, please press the receipt button. The payment will be recorded on the ticket and it will be returned to you. Drive to the exit and insert this ticket within fifteen minutes.

Can I park overnight?

Contract parkers must notify staff by email info@mplsparking.com if staying longer than 48 hours.

How much does it cost to use the MPLS Parking App?

A 25-cent fee does apply.

What if I accidentally pay for the incorrect space number?

It is very important to review all of your parking details before activating your parking transaction. Parking transactions can’t be adjusted once started. Should you start a transaction on the wrong space number, you will need to create a second parking session with the correct space number when the system resets after a three-minute delay. You also always have the option to pay for your parking at the pay station.

How do I start or extend a session without a mobile phone, or in areas with no cellular service?

Please pay at the pay-station. With the MPLS Parking App, you must have a mobile phone or web-enabled device with access to the Internet to use the service. If you have access to a landline, you may also call toll-free 1-855-494-6674.

What payment methods does the MPLS Parking App accept?

Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express credit cards as well as contactless payment such as Apple and Google Pay.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds will only be issued to customers whose fees were charged incorrectly due to a system error. To request a refund, please call 311. (Outside of Minneapolis, call 612-673-3000.)

Is metered Parking Free on Holidays?

The City of Minneapolis parking metered spaces are not enforced on the following days:

  • New Year’s Day

  • Martin Luther King Day

  • President’s Day

  • Memorial Day

  • Juneteenth

  • Independence Day

  • Labor Day

  • Indigenous Peoples Day

  • Veteran’s Day

  • Thanksgiving Day (and the day after Thanksgiving)

  • Christmas Day

What is a carpool, and how does it work?

Carpooling is two or more people that ride to work together on a regular basis. For more information on carpool programs, please click here.

Can I pay my monthly parking with an employee benefit option such as WageWorks?

We do accept such payments, also both checks and credit card payments.

How long of a commitment is a parking contract?

Our parking contracts are month-to-month only. No refunds for partial months.

Do you have security in the facilities?

​We have security staff on-duty and monitoring the facilities 24/7/365, as well as cameras located throughout the system. If you are in need of security assistance, please press any red call button, and our staff will assist you.

What forms of payment do you accept for parking?

For regular daily parking fees, we accept cash (only at the skyway pay stations) or credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express) and contactless payment such as Apple and Google Pay.

Can I use MPLS Parking App if I don't have a smartphone?

Yes. You may also use a web-enabled device (such as a tablet or laptop) or you can also use the MPLS Parking App through the automated phone system.

The number you can call to pay for your parking is 1-855-494-6674.

Transaction fees will apply ($0.25).

Remember, you can always pay at the meter or pay station.

​Can I change a transaction if I entered in wrong information?

Parking transactions can’t be changed after they are created. This a tamper-proof mechanism programmed into the app for security.

​How do I change my password?

Visit the Settings within the MPLS Parking App and choose Profile or User Settings.

How do I view and print my parking history?

Online accounts and memberships are currently managed by Flowbird®. To view and print your parking transaction history:

1. Click and Sign in to your Personal Pages
2. From the left navigation list, click “Parking History.” The history page appears.
3. In the “period” fields, enter the date range of the parking history you want to view, or click the calendar icons and select specific dates.
Tip: To retrieve a parking transaction for a specific date, select the same date on both calendars. Note that if the end date crosses over to the next day, you must select the next day on the second calendar.
4. To view parking transactions for a specific mobile phone number and/or vehicle within the selected date range, select the item from the corresponding list and then click “Search.” The results appear on the page.
To view all parking transactions within the selected date range, click “Search.” The results appear on the page.
5. Click the” >” symbol at the left edge of the text box in order to expand the transaction so that all the details are visible.
6. Save the parking history page with your payment verification on it as an image file or PDF. To print the transaction history, use the print function from your web browser. For example, click “File.” Then, select “Print.”

How often do I need to renew my carpool registration?

Carpools must be renewed every 6 months. To renew, please click here.

When are monthly parking payments due?

Payments are due by the last business day of the month, for the upcoming contract month. For example, payments for the month of August would be due on July 31st (assuming July 31st falls on a weekday).

What should I do if I lose my parking card?

Contact our office staff at (612) 343-7275 immediately to avoid unauthorized use. Then, stop by one of the payment centers to pick up your new card. You will be charged a $15 replacement fee.

What if I lose my ticket?

Please press one of the red call buttons located near each point of payment, and one of our staff members will guide you through the lost ticket process. The lost ticket rate often equates to the maximum daily rate at the facility, so it is very important to always retain the ticket you pulled at the entrance to qualify for the lowest rate possible.

I would like to provide parking for my employees, guests, clients, etc. How would I go about doing this?

Do you have electric vehicle charging stations?

We currently offer electric vehicle charging stations at the Jerry Haaf Ramp, the Leamington Ramp, Ramp A, and Ramp B. Information on availability and payment can be found at www.chargepoint.com or through the ChargePoint smartphone app.

Will I have to pay event rates if I enter the ramps for work during an event?

No. Monthly contract customers are guaranteed a spot 24/7. Simply show your access card to the parking attendant and enter the ramp as you would normally. This does not apply to carpoolers.
